Beginner’s Guide to Sourdough – Easy Step-by-Step Recipe
Hi, I’m Kayleigh founder of Kayle at Home and I started this journey out of pure necessity. After watching someone I love suffer with skin and health issues due to a compromised immune system, and battling sensitive skin and eczema within my own family, I completely lost trust in big-name skincare brands.
But my frustration didn’t stop at skincare. It stretched into our food, our home, and the everyday products we use. I wanted better organic, nourishing, and affordable but with price tags that didn’t make me wince. So, I rolled up my sleeves and started making it all at home.
From raising happy, free-roaming chickens in the garden, to beekeeping using regenerative, organic methods, every choice I make is rooted in care for my family, our environment, and yours. Our raw, unpasteurised honey and nourishing skincare are handmade with intention, using ingredients that are kind to sensitive skin and sourced as naturally as possible.
Creating our skincare range involved many messy kitchen experiments, lots of trial and error, and a house that smelled... well, I think it smelled nice though I actually have no sense of smell, so I had to rely on my family’s honest feedback!
At Kayle at Home, our philosophy is simple: from soil to skin, and nose to tail. Every balm, butter, and bar is made with thoughtful ingredients, gentle scents chosen with allergies in mind, and a love for holistic living.

As a woman at a particular stage of life *ahem* I am especially reliant on an excellent deodorant that can handle my anxiety and hot flush moments! I’ve wanted to make the switch to non-toxic for a while, but have been worried that I wouldn’t find one to support me day to day. I have been so pleasantly surprised with this deodorant. It smells beautiful, there is no stickiness when applying it, and it really does last all day with no need to top up. It’s definitely convinced me to make the change and is my new favourite deodorant.
I've wanted to try baking sourdough for a long time but have always put it off because getting a starter going seemed like such a faff. Using sully with the step by step instructions was easy and foolproof. The baking took a couple of tries to get exactly right but now we have fresh sourdough whenever we want it!
Goes on super smooth, just melts into the skin and doesn't leave me feeling greasy

This cream is all I use on my eczema breakouts now. I started using it last year and it healed and soothed even my most sensitive skin, on my eyelids. I have repurchased and given as gifts. I couldn’t recommend this highly enough to anyone needing high quality natural skincare.
I struggle with dull and oily skin, often it appears tonally uneven too! After just a few days of a regime with the brush, following the tutorial, I noticed an increase in evenness and a lightening effect to my skin. It feels pleasant to complete the ritual and promotes real self care! As someone with sensitive skin it’s nice to rely on something that isn’t a product that will block up my pores and cause redness.
The peppermint lip balm is a delight, it’s a lovely consistency that leaves your lips feeling plump and soft and the subtle scent is lovely.
I have really sensitive skin and this product is amazing. The consistency is wonderful, like a true body butter, dense and creamy. The smell is sublime, it feels like a real treat to use. Really lovely product, would 100% recommend!
